The Seventh Path is named the Hidden Consciousness (Sekhel Nistar) It is called this because it is the radiance that illuminates the transcendental powers that are seen with the mind's eye and with the reverie of Faith.
Description
Netzach is translated as both "victory" and "eternity", and is the first of the Sephiroth associated with everyday human consciousness. This principle is embodied in the instincts as well as in the ability of someone to follow their passions in life and persevere in the face of opposition. In the macrocosm, Netzach underlies all of the natural forces, and in the Western mysteries these forces, called in ancient Egypt the "netjeru", are experienced as the Gods of nature. These are distinct from the mighty Elohim of whom Plato spoke when he described the Ideals, which come forth from the great unmanifest through the supernal triad of Kether-Chokman-Binah.
In the human being, Netzach is embodied in the endocrine system and the gonads, both of which implement the body's instinctual nature. The reptilian hind-brain is another manifestation of Netzach. Within the psyche, the conscious will is influenced by this Sephirah.
